Small Grants for wilderness stewardship, including invasive species inventory and monitoring!

National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance, in partnership with the FS, offers small grants ($2,000-5,000) to volunteer organizations for projects that advance wilderness stewardship (i.e., result in WSP point gains). There is currently an open call for proposals, due October 15^th, for winter projects (Nov 2017-May 2018). So, his wouldn’t be a fit for high-elevation areas like most of the MBS wildernesses but may work for lower elevation areas. Match is required.

Examples of Wilderness Stewardship Performance Activities

Work proposed under this Grant application may include, but is not limited to:

• Inventory and monitoring surveys for invasive species
• Eradication and control of invasive species
