Participation Needed: Identifying Research Priorities of Managers Related to Invasive Species and Climate Change

Dear Colleagues,

Your ideas and feedback have been invaluable for informing the direction and topics of research of scientists at UMass, Cornell, and elsewhere. Now, we aim to conduct a more formal survey of your priorities to help guide future research and research communication.

We (researchers at UMass, Amherst) are conducting a study on what invasive species managers need from invasive species researchers. The purpose of this study is to better understand the priorities of managers with respect to managing invasive species in the context of climate change, and to identify any barriers to informed management.

The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. You may participate in this study if you are a natural resource manager who deals with invasive species. Your participation is completely voluntary and no identifying information will be collected. You are free to skip any question that you choose and can stop the survey at any time. If you have any questions about the research prior to taking the survey, or have trouble accessing the survey itself, please contact the principal investigator: Dr. Bethany Bradley at riscc@umass.edu.

If you would like to participate, please click on/copy the link below and you will be directed to the informed consent page of the survey. Feel free to forward this request to other invasive species managers/listservs.

Thank you for your participation!
