Subject: Apply Now for DoD National Public Lands Day
Funding!
ALCON... Each year, DoD provides funding to the National
Environmental Education Foundation to support local natural and cultural
resource projects that implement conservation and management actions on DoD
lands in ways that help the resource and help educate soldiers, civilians,
their families, and the surrounding communities. This year's event features an
increased funding cap and a new emphasis, though ALL good projects will still
be considered.
Please distribute the attached announcement (also below)
as appropriate, and especially to installations that may wish to submit an
application. Deadline to apply is 7/30.
Thanks, Alison
