Hello, tree pest mavens:
I have posted a new blog about the importance of
long-range strategies for responding to non-native tree pests -- for example,
biocontrol to reduce pest impacts & resistance breeding to strengthen the
hosts. The blog notes that two amendments proposed for the Farm Bill -
currently under consideration by the Congress - would provide more secure
funding for these approaches.
