So far, the results have been a mixed bag.“With a formidable root system and
puffy seed pods that are easily transported short distances on the wind,
dog-strangling vine spreads quickly and is difficult to eradicate. But Sandy
Smith of the University of Toronto and Rob Bourchier of Agriculture and
Agri-Food Canada are working on a project they hope will set the plant back: in
