Summary:
The FY2016 National Defense Authorization Act extends authority of forces
supporting counter transnational organized crime to include illegal trade of
products made from endangered wildlife. This presentation will detail the
evolution of a partnership between DoD and the Wildlife Conservation Society to
develop training materials, including a DVD and the mobile app, “Wildlife
Alert,” to combat wildlife trafficking and
ensure military personnel know about and comply with laws governing illegal
wildlife trade.
