We're excited to share two pieces of good news!
First, on Jan. 28 in Sacramento, the state's Dept. of Pesticide Regulation presented Cal-IPC with an IPM Innovator Award for our work training land managers in Integrated Pest Management approaches (above). A big thank you to the many volunteer instructors who have contributed time and expertise to Cal-IPC training events over the years!
Second, our new Best Management Practices manual (for protecting wildlife when using herbicides to control invasive plants) has been a huge hit - it's been downloaded 2,000 times, from 45 states in the US and from 31 other countries! Cathy Lucero, Clallam County Noxious Weed Control Coordinator in Washington, says the manual is "fantastic, just what we needed to move forward with local guidelines." Thank you to the Firedoll Foundation and the many individual donors who helped make this manual a reality.

If you haven't had a chance yet, you can download the manual here for free. Let us know what you think and how you incorporate these best practices into your work.
Thank you so much for your continued support!
